EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Golf junior Brianna Kirsch has been named Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week.

Kirsch earns her first career OVC weekly honor and the second of the year for USI Women's Golf.

Kirsch and the Screaming Eagles are coming off a strong finish at the Stonehill College Hill Yeah! Invitational earlier this week in Kingston, New York. USI set several new program marks at the tournament.

The junior was USI's highest individual finisher, tying for third overall with a one-over 145 (72-73) for her first career top-10 and top-5 finish. Her total of 145, a personal career best for 36 holes, is a USI best individual 36-hole score since the jump to Division I in 2022 and tied for second-best all time in program history. Kirsch's first-round 72 matched her single-round career best.

Kirsch set the pace for USI in Monday's first round with her even-par 72, placing near the top of the leaderboard early. The Lancaster, Wisconsin native carded three birdies in round one. In round two, Kirsch was steady, parring 17 of the 18 holes for a one-over 73.

Collectively, USI Women's Golf finished fifth out of nine teams with a score of 608 (315-293). USI's strong finish in Tuesday's final round with a single-round score of 293 set a program all-time record for the best team 18-hole score, beating the previous mark by one stroke. The Screaming Eagles' tournament total of 608 is the program's best 36-hole score since joining the Division I level in 2022.

Kirsch and the Screaming Eagles will look to carry their momentum into next week, October 5-6, at the Butler University Fall Invitational at Highland Golf Club in Indianapolis, Indiana.
