EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Softball's series opener against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville scheduled for Sunday at USI Softball Field has been canceled due to forecasted rain and wet field conditions.
 
Meanwhile, Monday's doubleheader between USI and SIUE is still on as scheduled for a 2 p.m. first pitch. However, the schedule is subject to change, including times and location.
 
The Screaming Eagles (9-17, 6-5 OVC) are looking to conclude its homestand with a strong finish against the SIUE Cougars (19-14, 9-3 OVC). USI began the current homestand last weekend with a series sweep against Tennessee Tech University. Southern Indiana is currently on a four-game winning streak.
