EVANSVILLE, Ind. – USI Softball has announced that its scheduled tournament games for Saturday and Sunday at the University of Evansville have been canceled due to impending bad weather in the forecast.
The Evansville softball tournament was slated to be the second weekend of games for USI after opening the 2025 season last week in Hawai'i.
The Screaming Eagles went 1-4 in the opening week at the University of Hawai'i Paradise Classic last week. USI won its season opener against Saint Louis University and ultimately split two games with the Billikens last week. USI dropped a contest against Santa Clara University and two against host Hawai'i.
Next, Southern Indiana will set its sights on returning to the field next week at the University of Alabama Birmingham Green and Gold Classic. USI will travel to Birmingham, Alabama, and play Samford University and host UAB next Friday, February 21. The Eagles will also compete against Belmont University on Saturday, February 22, and against Purdue University on Sunday, February 23.
