EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Women's Swimming and Diving shined in the home finale on Saturday, earning a dominant win over Summit League foe Eastern Illinois University,196-96. The Eagles won 12 of the 16 events and improved by 47 points from the 2024 matchup between the two programs.

Freshman diver
Anna Bunnell shined again, breaking the USI three-meter record with an impressive 241.40 pts, earning her first place. The freshman continues to be a model of consistency, setting the tone at the beginning of the meet for the Screaming Eagles. Fellow freshman
Gabbie Meier set a personal best three-meter diving score of 232.58 pts in her second-place performance.

A fantastic January continued for sophomore
Reagan Holmes, winning both her solo events in the 100 freestyle (53.26) and 200 freestyle (1:56.73). Freshman
Emma Gabhart excelled in a personal new event, taking first place in the 1000 freestyle (11:17.21). The freshman turned around in the100 breaststroke (1:08.15), taking first place and showing immense versatility competing short and long distance.

Junior
Mattilynn Smith secured a personal best 200 freestyle (1:57.73) in a second-place effort, along with a first-place finish in the 500 freestyle (5:14.60), and concluding with a second-place finish in the 100 backstroke (1:01.56). Smith is another Eagle who provides versatility for the squad.
