LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Southern Indiana Men's and Women's Track and Field both competed in the Jim Vargo Invitational hosted by Bellarmine University. The meet included nineteen other universities from a variety of levels.
Women
Junior
Olivia Clark (Newburgh, Indiana) competed in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.15 and the 200-meter dash at 27.87. Both times were just outside of the all-time top ten. However, her best time of the day was in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.86. This time marks the fourth fastest 400-meter dash in school history.
Junior
Emma Thompson (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) battled in the 1500-meter race finishing tenth out of 60 competitors with a time of 4:45.21.
Men
Freshman
Muhiyadin Ali (Chicago, Illinois) highlighted the event posting a 400-meter time of 51.76. The blazing time cements Ali into the USI records books at eighth all-time in the 400-meter.
Junior
Brady Terry (Philpot, Kentucky) excelled with a second place finish out of 65 participants in the 1500-meter with a time of 3:53.86. The time lands Terry just outside of the all-time top ten in the 1500-meter.
Junior
James Butler (Evansville, Indiana) finished eighth in the long jump with a 19'10.75" final.
What's Next
Both squads head to beautiful Azusa, California to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
