AZUSA, Ca.- University of Southern Indiana Men's and Women's Track and Field brought six competitors to the ultra-competitive Bryan Clay Invitational in beautiful Azusa, California. The invite brought in teams from around the country.
USI competed in the 1500-meter and 5000-meter competitions on both the men's and women's sides.
Women
Freshman
Zoe Seward (Rochester, Indiana) competed in the 5000-meter run finishing with a time of 17:22.03. Sophomore
Emily Rempe (Owensboro, Kentucky) took on the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:46.63.
Men
Junior
Brady Terry (Philpot, Kentucky) improved his season best 5000-meter time placing 21
st out of 90 competitors with a time of 14:37.80. This was a 14 second improvement from his time at the Wash U Distance Carnival. Junior
Dylan Bland (Holland, Indiana) was right behind Terry at 14:43.11 crushing his season best by 21 seconds. Terry earned another respectable time in the 1500 meter at 3:58.87.
What's Next
The USI Men's squad travels to Indiana State University next weekend for the Gibson Invitational on April 19-20. The women take a few weeks off to train before heading to Louisville University for the Clark Wood Invitational on April 26-27.
