Eleven different Eagles contribute to a 7-0 rout

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis (6-8) dominated in a rout of Kentucky Wesleyan (1-8), 7-0 at the Evansville Tennis Center. This marks the Screaming Eagles first consecutive wins of the season as they head into four upcoming Ohio Valley Conference matches. USI nearly used their entire roster to take down the Panthers as eleven different Eagles contributed.
 
Doubles: The match started with a convincing 6-1 doubles one win by freshman Sofia Davidoff (Lagny-sur-Marne, France) and Lauren Rowe (Terre Haute, Indiana). The twins teamed up in the doubles two matchup as freshman Claire Meyer (New Albany, Indiana) and freshman Lily Meyer (New Albany, Indiana) won 6-1. The match marked the first career victory as a doubles team for the Meyer sisters. Finally, junior Madison Windham (Clarksville, Tennessee) and freshman Anais Negrail (Maisons-Alfort, France) claimed victory on a withdrawal.
 
Singles: USI took care of business winning all six singles matches. Senior Rachel McCorkle (Tulsa, Oklahoma) and Rowe overwhelmed the Panthers in their singles matches, both earning 6-0, 6-0 victories. Junior Abby Myers (Evansville, Indiana) picked up her second singles win of the season by score of 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore Khandice Thomas (Pickerington, Ohio) and sophomore Elle Dewees (Newburgh, Indiana) earned convincing victories for their first singles wins of the season. Junior Elle Ossenberg (Evansville, Indiana) won her match on a withdrawal.
 
What's Next
The Eagles start a four-game OVC stretch on Friday against Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois at 3 p.m. The Eagles are not back at home until April 7.
