Softball suspended in sixth inning, resumes Thursday at 9 a.m.

OXFORD, Ala. - The Ohio Valley Conference Tournament game between University of Southern Indiana Softball and Tennessee State University was suspended Wednesday evening due to ongoing inclement weather in the vicinity of Choccolocco park and will resume Thursday at 9 a.m.

The game was suspended in the top of the sixth inning with the Screaming Eagles leading the Tigers, 8-1.

The updated change of schedule for Thursday is as follows:

Thursday, May 11 Game 3 – USI vs. Tennessee State (resumed)                9:00 a.m.             Game 4 – UT Martin vs. SIUE                                        10:00 a.m. Game 5 – Eastern Illinois vs. USI/TSU                            12:30 p.m. Game 6 – Southeast Missouri vs. Winner Game 4           3:00 p.m. Game 7 – Loser Game 4 vs. Loser Game 5                    5:30 p.m.

Times for games 4-7 are approximate. They will begin approximately 35 minutes after the completion of the previous game. Game 8 on the bracket will be pushed to Friday.
