Evansville, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Athletics and TicketSmarter announced an agreement today to enter a two-year partnership. TicketSmarter is a fast-growing national ticket resale marketplace and the ticket resale marketplace partner of USI Athletics.
"We are thrilled to begin our partnership with USI and look forward to many years of creative collaboration that elevates the fan experience for students, faculty and alumni," TicketSmarter CEO Jeff Goodman said.
As a ticket resale marketplace, TicketSmarter gives fans a safe and trusted platform where they can buy and sell tickets. TicketSmarter partners with more than 300 colleges and universities, as well as more than 30 conferences, in the U.S. If a Screaming Eagle fan is not able to attend a game, they will have the option to post their seat on this platform to be able to re-sell their ticket.
"Our new partnership with TicketSmarter is a bonus for our ticketing operation." said Blake Bruner, USI Director of Ticketing. "TicketSmarter will give USI the ability to make sure our best seats don't go unused.
"If a season ticket holder can't make it to a game, they can re-sell their seats on TicketSmarter," continued Bruner. "The season ticket holder will be compensated for tickets they would not have used and USI will have fans in seat that would have empty. A win-win for both the University and the season ticket holder."
TicketSmarter, which offers tickets to more than 125,000 live events ranging from concerts to sports and theatre shows, is an online ticket marketplace and a proud member of the Digital Ally Companies.
TicketSmarter is a primary and secondary ticketing solution for events and high-profile venues across North America including more than 300 professional sports teams and collegiate athletic departments. TicketSmarter is also dedicated to giving back through contributions to charitable organizations.
