EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana Athletics is hosting its annual Screaming Eagles Madness event Wednesday, October 14 at Liberty Arena, Home of the Screaming Eagles.
 
The event is one of two fan engagement opportunities that USI fans will have to interact with the Screaming Eagles' men's and women's basketball programs as both teams also will be introduced on the main stage of the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 8.
 
Doors for Screaming Eagles Madness on October 14 open at 6:30 p.m., while the event, which welcomes USI students, fans and the entire Screaming Eagles community, begins at 7 p.m.
 
A longtime USI tradition, Screaming Eagles Madness is the official celebration that helps tip-off another exciting season of USI basketball. The annual event brings the Screagle community together for an evening filled with energy, entertainment and plenty of basketball excitement.
 
Fans will have the opportunity to meet and welcome the 2026-27 USI men's and women's basketball teams as both squads are introduced inside Liberty Arena. The evening also features performances from the USI Cheer and Dance teams, exciting fan activities, prizes, give-a-ways and much more.
 
Screaming Eagles Madness is free and open to USI students, fans and the community. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be ready to bring the energy.
 
Both USI basketball teams are set to tip-off the 2026-27 regular-season November 2 as USI Women's Basketball hosts Murray State University at 6 p.m., while USI Men's Basketball visits Belmont University
 
USI Men's Basketball takes on the University of Evansville November 7 in the River City Classic. Fans are reminded to get their tickets as soon as possible and to wear red to the game.
