University of Southern Indiana senior midfielder Duncan Bray was named second team Verizon Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of American. Bray is one the 33 men's soccer players honored in the College Division that is made up of NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA institutions in the United States and Canada.

To be eligible for Academic All-America, the nominee must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The student athlete must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and completed at least one full academic year at the institution.

Bray played in all 21 games this fall for the Eagles and led the team in scoring with 30 points on nine goals and a team-high 12 assists. He also has posted two game-winning goals and assisted on five additional game winners. His 12 assists rank sixth, nationally, in Division II.

The senior from Shetland, Scotland, helped the Screaming Eagles to their best season since 1991. USI was13-8-0 in 2002 and was second in the GLVC Tournament.

Bray is the first USI men's soccer player and the sixth USI student athlete to be named to
