EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Due to COVID-19, the USI Cheer Team will be holding its first round of tryouts via virtual tryouts. Below is the pertinent information regarding virtual tryouts:

2020-2021 USI Cheer Tryouts
Due to current circumstances with COVID-19, the first round of tryouts will be virtual. To try out, please follow the steps listed below! The university is closed for the semester, no videos may be recorded on campus. We encourage you to submit video footage of tumbling that you already have and/or that you can do from home. We do not expect nor do we encourage you to leave your home to capture these skills on video. Additionally, please only provide video with the skills requested! It will not benefit you to show additional skills. In fact, your ability to follow directions will be part of the evaluation!

1. Complete the Virtual Tryout Registration form by MONDAY, APRIL 20.

Once you have been added to the Band:
1. Learn and record all tryout material.

2. Upload 5 videos to YouTube. Check out the tutorial.

- Band Chant - Female only
- Sideline
- Standing Tumbling
   — Back Handspring
   — Tuck
   — Back Handspring tuck
- Running Tumbling
   — Highest pass

3. Complete the Athlete Information form by FRIDAY, APRIL 24.

Attire:
- Females will need to wear a white polo, navy shorts, cheer/athletic shoes, game day ready hair and makeup.
- Males: White polo, navy shorts and athletic shoes.

You will be notified by Sunday, April 26th if you have been invited to the second round of tryouts. If you are invited to the second round of tryouts, please see below for what to bring.
1. Each applicant is required to submit a physical examination at his/her own expense (no blood work or urinalysis required) prior to participation in athletics at USI. Please use the USI Physical Form.

2. Each applicant must provide a copy of their current medical insurance card.

3. Each applicant will be required to submit the Waiver/Release Form. If the student is under 18, a parent/guardian signature is needed.

4. Each applicant will be required to review the Rules and Expectations. No one is expected to sign until they have made the team.

5. $20 tryout fee.
