EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team fell 4-3 at the hands of Lewis University on Friday at the USI Tennis Courts.
DOUBLES
USI (10-11, 2-2 GLVC) took the doubles point by starting at the number two spot in senior
Ilia Karelin (Ekaterinburg, Russia) and freshman
Marvin Kromer (Dogern, Germany) winning 6-2 over their opponent.
The sophomore duo of
Kooper Falkenstein (Jeffersonville, Indiana) and
Spencer Blandford (Louisville, Kentucky) wrapped things up with yet another win as teammates at the number three doubles position in 7-6 (7-2).
SINGLES
Freshman
Martin Linares (Beunos Aires, Argentina) nabbed one of two points the Eagles were able to conjure at the number five spot, defeating his opponent by a score of 6-2, 6-4. Kromer went undefeated on the day after his 6-2, 6-4 win as well.

The Eagles will have one final GLVC test as it plays the University of Indianapolis in Evansville, Indiana on Saturday, April 13 at the USI Tennis Courts.
