EVANSVILLE, Ind.--University of Southern Indiana Men's Tennis got singles wins from freshman
Marvin Kromer (Dogern, Germany) and sophomore
Spencer Blandford (Louisville, Kentucky), but it was not enough as the Screaming Eagles suffered a 5-2 non-conference setback to the University of Missouri-St. Louis Wednesday afternoon.
USI (6-10) suffered losses in all three doubles matches to lose the doubles point, while losses at No. 1, No. 2, No. 5Â and No. 6 singles clinched the win for the Tritons.
Kromer rallied from a one-set deficit to earn a three-set win at No. 3 singles; while Blandford won in straight sets at No. 4 singles.
USI returns to Friday at 2 p.m. when it hosts Bellarmine University in a men's and women's GLVC doublehader at the USI Tennis Courts.
