EVANSVILLE, Ind.--University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis suffered a 7-0 setback to the University of Charleston (West Virginia) Saturday evening at the Evansville Tennis Center. The match was originally scheduled for an 11 a.m. contest at the USI Tennis Courts, but was moved indoors due to rain.

After losing the point in doubles competition, the Screaming Eagles suffered straight-set losses in all but one singles match. Sophomore Lauryn Thompson (Evansville, Indiana) won the opening set at No. 2 singles, but fell in set two and lost the super-set tie-breaker.

The Eagles (1-1) return to action Monday when they travel to Oakland City, Indiana, to take on Oakland City University in a 6 p.m. match.
