EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana Volleyball begins its second-to-last week of the regular season Friday at 7 p.m. when it hosts Quincy University in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at the Physical Activities Center.
The Screaming Eagles (11-15, 4-9 GLVC), who have won eight of the last 10 matches, also host the University of Missouri-St. Louis for Senior Day Saturday at 3 p.m. USI will honor its four seniors—libero

USI Volleyball Notes
Eagles post 2-1 record last week. USI posted a 2-1 record last week, including a 1-1 mark in GLVC play. The Eagles began the week with a three-set win over Midwest Region foe Trevecca Nazarene University in their "Dig for the Cure" match last Tuesday before earning a five-set, come-from-behind road win over William Jewell College Friday night. Truman State University, however, ended USI's three-match winning streak Saturday afternoon, pinning a four-set decision on the Eagles' resume.

Mikaila Humphrey (Floyd Knobs, Indiana) averaged 3.33 kills per set to lead the Eagles' attackers last week, while senior middle hitter

GLVC statistical watch. USI has three players ranked in the top 10 of the GLVC to begin the week. Whitfield ranks sixth in the GLVC with a team-high 1.06 blocks per set, while Cepicky and Humphrey are respectively seventh in assists per set (9.09) and kills per set (3.26).

Shannon Farrell (Munster, Indiana) ranks second all-time at USI with 1,794 career digs. Farrell is chasing former USI standout libero Kayla Heldman, who amassed a school-record 1,848 career digs from 2010-13.
Senior middle blocker
Te'Ayla Whitfield (Fort Wayne, Indiana) also ranks ninth all-time at USI with 238 career block assists and 11th all-time at USI with 273 career blocks.
USI versus Quincy. USI is looking to avenge last year's three-set road loss to Quincy. The Hawks, who host the University of Illinois Springfield Tuesday, start the week with a 7-17 overall record and a 4-9 mark in GLVC play.
USI versus Missouri-St. Louis. The Eagles suffered a three-set loss to Missouri-St. Louis a year ago. The Tritons, who host Maryville University Tuesday, begin the week with a 17-7 overall record and a 7-6 mark in GLVC play.
A look ahead. USI concludes its three-match homestand and its regular-season home schedule November 7 when it hosts the University of Indianapolis. The Eagles finish the regular season November 10-11 when they visit Lewis University and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
