EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The No. 22 University of Southern Indiana softball team will have to wait one more day to play its 2015 home-opener as the forecast of torrential rain in the Evansville Tri-State area Friday has pushed its Great Lakes Valley Conference-opening weekend to Sunday-Monday.
USI (13-1, 0-0 GLVC) will play William Jewell College in a GLVC doubleheader Sunday at noon at the USI Softball Field before hosting Rockhurst University in a GLVC twinbill Monday at noon. Live stats, audio, and video (if available) can be accessed at gousieagles.com.
The Screaming Eagles are off to one of their best starts in program history, having won 13-of-14 to start the year. USI has been complete in virtually all aspects of the game as it sports a team batting average of .346 and a 1.23 team ERA.
Sophomore
Grace Clark (Indianapolis, Indiana) is pacing the Eagles at the plate with a team-best .435 batting average, while senior

Juniors
Janna Green (Glenwood, Indiana) and
Toni Braun (Evanston, Indiana) are hitting .419 and .405, respectively, to bolster the Eagles' offense.
In the circle, senior
