EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team is prepared for the final homestand of 2014-15 when it hosts the sixth-ranked University of Indianapolis Thursday and Saint Joseph's College Saturday at the Physical Activities Center. Tip-off Thursday versus UIndy is 7:30 p.m., while the start time Saturday for Senior Day is 3:15 p.m.

Gavin Schumann (Cincinnati, Ohio) and
TeNale Roland (New Albany, Indiana); and senior forward
Austin Davis (Freeport, Illinois).

USI Men's Basketball Notes versus UIndy and Saint Joseph's: USI clinches 1st round game with road-trip sweep. The University of Southern Indiana clinched a first-round home game in the upcoming GLVC Tournament by sweeping last week's road swing. The Screaming Eagles started the week with a dominating 76-69 victory over the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a come from behind 64-62 victory over Maryville University.

Bobo Drummond, who tied a season-high with 23 points versus UMSL, led the Eagles during the road trip with 18 points per game. Senior guards

TeNale Roland followed with 17.0 and 14.5 points per contest, respectively.
Five game winning streak ties season-best. USI has won five-straight games, tying a season best. Eagles are outscoring the opposition, 71.2-63.4 per outing. Sophomore
Bobo Drummond leads the Eagles during the streak with 17.0 points per game and 3.8 three point field goals per outing.

Austin Davis is the hottest Eagle from long range in the last five games, shooting 52.9 percent from beyond the three-point arc (9-17).
USI in the GLVC. USI is currently in fifth in the GLVC East Division and in a four-way tie for fifth overall in the race for seeding in the GLVC Tournament. The Screaming Eagles also are three games back of the fourth spot that would give USI a first-round bye.
Overcoming deficits. USI has overcome four double-digit deficits this year to claim victories. The Eagles climbed out of 10-point holes against Shorter University and Truman State and rallied from 11 points down against Lewis University. The largest comeback of the year was erasing a 13-point deficit against Cedarville University.
Indianapolis in 2014-15. The Greyhounds of sixth-ranked UIndy are 21-2 overall and 13-2 in the GLVC. UIndy is third in the GLVC East Division and has won four-straight after being swept by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Lewis University three weeks ago. For more on UIndy, visit

USI vs. Indianapolis. The Eagles lead the all-time series, 53-20, but the Greyhounds have won the last two meetings after taking the game in Indianapolis, 84-67, in January. USI has won four of the last six meetings with UIndy and is 11-2 at the PAC versus the Greyhounds since 2000.
