EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana Men's Basketball announced its schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
This year's slate features 15 home games, including bouts against Western Michigan University (November 15), Ball State University (November 28) and longtime rival Bellarmine University (December 16).
The Screaming Eagles' non-conference home slate also includes games against St. Mary-of-the-Woods College (November 4), Lindsey Wilson University (November 18), Wright State University Lake Campus (December 21) and Brescia University (December 28).
USI welcomes defending Ohio Valley Conference champion Tennessee State University to Liberty Arena, Home of the Screaming Eagles, to begin conference play on New Year's Eve.
The OVC home slate also consists of games against Lindenwood University (January 7), SIU Edwardsville (January 21), Western Illinois University (January 23), Morehead State University (January 30), Southeast Missouri State University (February 6), the University of Tennessee Martin (February 18) and Eastern Illinois University (February 20).
OVC play sees the Screaming Eagles making road trips to each of their nine conference opponents, beginning with Southeast Missouri State January 2.
USI will not play more than two straight games away from Liberty Arena the entire year and will only have one conference weekend in which they are on the road for both games.
The Screaming Eagles non-conference road schedule is loaded with quality opposition. USI begins the season November 2 when they visit Belmont University, one of three Missouri Valley Conference foes on the slate.
USI takes on crosstown rival University of Evansville in the inaugural River City Classic November 7 at the Ford Center and visits Indiana State University December 6.
Indiana State is one of five opponents from Indiana that USI faces this season. The Screaming Eagles also visit IU Indy November 11.
Two of the biggest draws on the Screaming Eagles schedule are bouts against SEC opponents, beginning with a trip to Austin, Texas, to take on the University of Texas Longhorns November 22.
The Screaming Eagles visit Vanderbilt University December 18 in one of three trips USI will make to the Music City.
USI's road slate also includes a trip to face Virginia Military Institute November 24 and the University of West Georgia December 1.
The Screaming Eagles will push for a spot in this year's OVC Tournament, which returns to the Ford Center March 3-6.
Season tickets for the general public will go on sale in September.
