EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team returns to the road in Great Lakes Valley Conference action, traveling to McKendree University Thursday and the University of Illinois Springfield Saturday. Tip off Thursday versus McKendree in Lebanon, Illinois, is 7:30 p.m., while the start time at Illinois Springfield in Springfield, Illinois, is 3 p.m.

USI Men's Basketball Notes versus McKendree and Illinois Springfield:
USI ends homestand on positive note. The University of Southern Indiana went 1-2 in its three-game homestand, but ended the three-game set with a 64-60 victory over Lewis University. The Screaming Eagles rallied from an 11-point deficit to defeat the Flyers and break a three-game losing streak. USI lost to fourth-ranked Bellarmine University and 19th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Parkside in the first two contests of the homestand.
Schumann led Eagles during homestand. Senior guard Gavin Schumann led USI in the three-game homestand, averaging 16.0 points per game. Sophomore guard Bobo Drummond followed with 13.3 points per.
Drummond posts season-high against Lewis. Sophomore guard Bobo Drummond posted a season-high 21 points in the win over Lewis, leading the Eagles with 15 second half points in the comeback win.
Halfway through the GLVC season. USI is 5-4 in the GLVC and halfway through the 2014-15 league schedule. The Eagles have four home dates left in this season and in conference play.
Schumann is season leader in points. Senior guard Gavin Schumann leads the Eagles and is fourth in the GLVC in scoring, averaging 18.8 points per contest. Schumann has led USI in points 10 times this year and reached double-digits in all but one game this season. Junior forward George Edwards follows Schumann with 14.9 points per outing off the bench and ranks 13th in the GLVC in scoring.
At home versus on the road. USI is 9-3 overall at home and 2-2 on the road this year. The Eagles are outscoring the opposition, 79.4-69.8, at the PAC, while going 2-2 on the road and tied in scoring, 72-72.

USI vs. McKendree. USI leads the all-time series with McKendree, 9-2, and has a 2-0 lead in games in Lebanon, Illinois. The Eagles won last year's meeting at the PAC, 90-74.
Illinois Springfield in 2014-15. The Prairie Stars of the University of Illinois Springfield are 8-8 overall, 2-6 in the GLVC, and will host Bellarmine University prior to welcoming USI.
