EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team continues its five-game season-opening homestand at 7 p.m. Thursday when it welcomes Shorter University (Ga.) to the Physical Activities Center. The Screaming Eagles reach the halfway point of the homestand at 3:15 p.m. Saturday by hosting Kentucky State University.

USI Men's Basketball vs. Shorter and Kentucky State Quick Notes: Eagles open 2014-15 in positive column. The University of Southern Indiana started the 2014-15 season on a positive note with an 82-54 victory over Davis & Elkins College. The Screaming Eagles have won 29-staight season openers and 31-straight home openers.
