SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team allowed three first half goals and fell to Drury University, 4-0, Friday evening in Springfield, Missouri. USI goes to 3-8-2 overall and 2-7-2 GLVC, while Drury watches its records go to 7-3-3 overall, 5-3-3 GLVC.
The Screaming Eagles fell behind in the first five minutes as the Panthers scored 4:53 into the opening half. Drury would up the lead to 3-0 midway through the first 45 minutes with tallies at 22:47 and 26:02.
The Panthers would close the door on the Eagles and their 4-0 victory in the second half with a tally at the 65:15. USI would be out shot in the match, 21-7.
The Eagles complete the road trip Sunday at noon when they travel to Missouri University of Science & Technology. USI returns to the friendly surroundings of Strassweg Field October 24 when it hosts McKendree University for Senior Night.
