EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team hopes to close out the final third of the of the 2014 regular season on a roll when it travels to Drury University Friday and Missouri University of Science & Technology Sunday. Kick-off Friday at Drury is slated for 5 p.m., while the start time Sunday at Missouri S&T is set for noon.

Week 7 Eagle Notes: Eagles are playing .500 soccer. The Eagles (3-7-2, 2-6-2 GLVC) have been playing .500 soccer the last two weeks, going 2-2-1 in the last five matches. Last week, USI opened the homestand with an exciting 3-2 double-overtime win versus William Jewell College before falling to Rockhurst University, 3-1.

Gabriella Korte (St. Louis, Missouri) leads the Eagles in scoring after 12 matches with five points on one goal and a team-high three assists. Junior forward
Madi Vellky (Dublin, Ohio) and freshman forward
Haley Rheinlander (Evansville, Indiana) have four points each on a team-best two goals. Senior midfielder
Maura Hulme (Westerville, Ohio) also has four points on one goal and two assists.
Engelbrecht is in her 12th year. USI Head Coach
Kristy Engelbrecht has an 89-107-15 overall record at USI, but is 52-43-3 in her last six seasons.
USI hopes to get back on track versus Drury. The Eagles will be looking to get back on track against the Panthers of Drury (6-3-3, 4-3-3 GLVC). Drury snapped USI's three-game winning streak versus the Panthers last year, 4-2, at Strassweg Field and pushed their lead in the all-time series to 6-3-0.
Five-match winning streak on the line for USI versus Missouri S&T . USI wants to extend its five-match winning streak against the Miners of Missouri S&T (5-7-0, 5-5-0 GLVC) Sunday in Rolla, Missouri. The Eagles hold a 9-3-0 all-time lead over the Miners after posting a 2-1 double-overtime win last season at Strassweg Field. Missouri S&T will host the University of Illinois Springfield on Friday before welcoming USI.
