EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team is hoping the road leads to victories when it starts a two-match road swing at Saint Joseph's College Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Rensselaer, Indiana. The Screaming Eagles finish the short two-game GLVC road trip Sunday at noon when they visit the University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Week 5 Eagle Notes: Eagles end tough four-game homestand. The Eagles (1-5-2, 0-4-2 GLVC) ended a tough four-game homestand with an 0-1-1 week, falling to 14
th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 1-0, and tying Lewis University, 0-0, in double-overtime. USI finished its longest homestand of the year 0-2-2.
Lohmann moves up in all-time shutouts. Junior goalkeeper
Jackie Lohmann (Owensboro, Kentucky) moved into sole possession of third place all-time at USI with her 15th career-shutout in the tie with Lewis. Lohman has 15 career shutouts in her two-plus seasons, six behind Stephanie Bodamer (2008-11), who is second with 21 shuouts, and 12.5 behind Angie Gries (1996-99), who holds the all-time record with 27.5 shutouts.
Vellky leads the Eagles in scoring. Junior forward
Madi Vellky (Dublin, Ohio) leads the Eagles in scoring after eight games with four points on a pair of goals. Freshman
Sadie Schumann (Aurora, Indiana), freshman midfielder
Maggie Pike (St. Louis, Missouri), sophomore defender
Gabriella Korte (St. Louis, Missouri), and senior midfielder
Maura Hulme (Westerville, Ohio) follow with two points each. Schumann, Pike, and Korte have one goal each, while Hulme has a team-high two assists.
Engelbrecht is in her 12th year. USI Head Coach
Krissy Engelbrecht has an 87-105-15 overall record at USI, but is 50-41-3 in her last six seasons.
USI wants to continue streak versus Saint Joseph's. The Eagles will be looking to extend their five-game winnings steak against the Pumas of Saint Joseph's (1-7-1, 0-5-1 GLVC) Friday evening. USI also leads the all-time series with Saint Joseph's, 10-9-2, since 1996.
Eagles wish to end Greyhounds streak. USI will visit UIndy (1-5-2, 0-4-2 GLVC) looking to break its three-game losing to the Greyhounds. The Eagles, who are 4-5-0 against UIndy in Indianapolis, trail in the all-time series, 11-8-0.
