CHICAGO, Ill.– The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team finished in a tie for 25th in the 34-team field of the Division II Midwest Fall Regional hosted by Lewis University. The tournament was played at Harborside International Golf Course in Chicago, Ill.
 
The Screaming Eagles recorded a two-day 631 (314-317), 42 strokes off the pace set by the tournament-winning Malone University. Malone posted a tournament-best round of 291 on the first day to win the tournament with a two-day score of 590 (291-299) as a team.
 
USI was led by freshman Preston Van Winkle (Santa Claus, Indiana) who finished in a tie for 59^th with a two-day total of 154 (77-77). The only other Eagle to earn a top 100 finish was sophomore Grant Saylor (Newburgh, Indiana), who finished in a tie for 99^th with a two-day 158 (78-80).
 
The next action for the Eagles will be October 6-7 in the Christian Brothers University Invitational at North Creek Golf Club in Southaven, Miss.
