KISSIMMEE, Fla.—The University of Southern Indiana softball team saw its strong start to the Rebel Spring Games washed away Tuesday as its games against Southwest Minnesota State University and Adelphi University were cancelled due to rain in the Orlando, Florida, area.
USI (8-5) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning of its game against Southwest Minnesota State University. The Screaming Eagles had the bases loaded with two outs in the last part of the first frame when the third and final rain delay of the contest ended any chance of the game reaching official length.
Freshmen

The Eagles return to action Wednesday at 2 p.m. (CDT) when they take on Saint Cloud State University. USI also plays Midwest Region foe Ferris State University Wednesday at 4 p.m.
