EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team used a dominating offensive attack to roll past Bellarmine University 25-15, 25-16, 25-17 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference bout Saturday afternoon at the Physical Activities Center.

USI (4-7, 2-0 GLVC) racked up 41 kills and a .457 attacking percentage as it blasted through the visiting Knights to record its fourth consecutive win. So potent was the Screaming Eagles' offensive attack that USI had just four attacking errors in 81 attempts.

The Eagles set the tone early in the contest as they had a .538 attacking percentage as well as a 19-9 lead late in the opening frame. USI settled on a .444 clip, but held the 10-point cushion as it picked up the win in the first set and a 1-0 lead in the match.

USI's hitters overwhelmed the Knights in the second stanza as the Eagles hit .517 en route to the nine-point win. The Eagles used runs of 5-0 and 8-3 in the second game and benefitted from the play of sophomore outside hitter Fawn Ryan, who slammed down six of her match-high 12 kills in the second set.

Ryan, who had four kills in the third set, finished the match with a .524 attacking percentage and three blocks. She was one of three Eagles to record at least a .500 attacking percentage as freshman middle blocker Abbey Winter and junior middle blocker Emily Diedrich notched attacking clips of .714 and .583, respectively.

Diedrich, who finished with eight kills and a pair of blocks, rang up three service aces in an 8-0 run in the third set that turned a 4-2 lead into a commanding 10-point advantage. Winter recorded five of her 10 kills in the third set, including two in USI's 8-0 spurt. She added a match-high four blocks.

Junior setter Jorae Bradbury recorded 34 assists, including 12 in the final set as USI hit .412 in the third frame.

The Eagles conclude their four-match homestand Tuesday at 7 p.m. when they host Kentucky Wesleyan College at the PAC.
