BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—Junior
Michael Whitehead recorded a pair of top-10 finishes Friday night to lead the University of Southern Indiana men's indoor track and field team at the Hoosier Hills Invitational.
Whitehead was eighth in the mile, edging out fellow classmate
Michael Callison with a time of four minutes, 19.61 seconds. He concluded the night by helping the Screaming Eagles' distance medley relay team to a fifth-place finish.
Callison was ninth in the mile with a time of four minutes, 19.79 seconds and helped USI's second distance medley relay team to a seventh-place finish.
USI returns to action February 24-25 when it competes at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Championships in Somers, Wisconsin.
