Michael Jordan improved on their respective NCAA II provisional qualifying times in the 5,000 meters Friday night at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet.
Emerick finished fourth in the race that consisted of 176 competitors, crossing the finish line in 14 minutes, 19.24 seconds. Jordan was eighth in the event with a time of 14 minutes, 30.56 seconds.
Two weeks ago, both Emerick and Jordan recorded provisional qualifying times in the 5,000 meters at the Indiana Relays. Emerick's time Friday night was 14 seconds faster than the one he posted at the Indiana Relays, while Jordan's time was 12 seconds faster than his previous mark.
Emerick and Jordan will rejoin the Screaming Eagles February 24-25 when they compete at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Championships in Somers, Wisconsin.
