EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team hopes to carry the momentum it built at home to the road when it travels to Rockhurst University and William Jewell College. Kick off at Rockhurst is 7:30 p.m. Friday, while start time at William Jewell is noon Sunday.

The Screaming Eagles (3-3-1, 3-1-0 GLVC) rose to the .500 mark for the first time since the start of the season with a pair of conference wins over the weekend. USI's week started rough with a 3-0 loss at the University of North Alabama, but it rebounded with a 1-0 victory over Missouri University of Science & Technology and a 3-1 decision over Drury University.
In the weekend wins, senior goalkeeper Stephanie Bodamer (Highland, Indiana) set the career record for saves. Bodamer has recorded 340 saves in three-plus seasons at USI.
Offensively, junior forward Susan Ellsperman (Newburgh, Indiana) leads USI with five points on one goal and three assists. Freshman forward Makenzie Brinker (Evansville, Indiana) follows with four points on two goals.
Rockhurst (2-2-1, 1-2-1 GLVC) returns from a tough road trip that saw it lose 2-1 at Bellarmine University and 2-0 at Northern Kentucky University. The Hawks had started the year with a pair of wins before a tie at Drury and the losses this past weekend.
USI has had a hard time with Rockhurst, losing six-straight matches before the Eagles posted their only win over the Hawks last season, 2-1, at Strassweg Field.
William Jewell (2-3-0, 1-3-0 GLVC) also started its year with a pair of victories, including a GLVC-victory over Drury, 2-1. The Cardinals, however, have lost their last three conference games, falling to Missouri University of Science & Technology, 4-3 in overtime; NKU, 7-0; and Bellarmine, 1-0.
Sunday's match-up at William Jewell will be the first meeting between the Eagles and the Cardinals.
