EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Four University of Southern Indiana volleyball players had at least 10 kills as the Screaming Eagles hit a season-high .481 in a 25-10, 25-21, 25-12 rout of future Great Lakes Valley Conference member McKendree University Tuesday night at the Physical Activities Center.

Senior middle blocker Danielle LaGrange had a match-high 18 kills and hit a blistering .600 to pace the Eagles, who finished with 56 kills as a team. LaGrange is currently three kills shy of 1,000 in her USI career following her performance Tuesday night.

Freshman outside hitter Lauren DeShaney had 12 kills and attacked at a .611 clip, while fellow classmate Fawn Ryan and sophomore middle blocker Emily Diedrich each finished with 10 kills.

Diedrich, who had a team-best two blocks, also hit .800 as she nailed down 10 of her 12 attack attempts without and error.

Sophomore setter Jorae Bradbury was on her game as she tallied a match-high 48 assists while setting the Eagles' offense to attacking clips of .417, .400, and .636 in the first, second, and third frames, respectively.

Freshman defensive specialist Candace Timberlake and sophomore libero Kayla Heldman each had a match-high tying 10 digs as the Eagles held the Bearcats (7-20) to a .157 team attacking percentage.

After opening the first set with an 11-2 run, the Eagles had to fight a little in the second frame to claim the four-point win. USI, which trailed 13-11 midway through the second stanza, went on an 8-3 run to turn momentum back into its favor and won five of the last seven rallies to increase its advantage in the match to two sets.

USI forged an early six-point lead in the third game and scored nine of the final 11 points to win clinch three-set sweep.

The Eagles return to action Friday at 7 p.m. when they host GLVC East Division foe Saint Joseph's College at the PAC.
