GAME NOTES
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The fourth-ranked University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team continues its four-game homestand Saturday when it welcomes the University of Indianapolis to the Physical Activities Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.

The Screaming Eagles (16-1, 8-1 GLVC) finished the first half of the GLVC schedule Monday with a 29-point win over Kentucky Wesleyan College. Junior guard Brandon Hogg (Edwardsville, Illinois) led the Eagles with a game-high 21 points, while senior guard Jared Rehmel (Jasonville, Indiana) dropped in a season-best 17 points.

At the midway mark of GLVC play, the Eagles are a game behind GLVC East-leading and second-ranked Bellarmine University and a game-and-a-half ahead of Northern Kentucky University and UIndy. KWC is fifth in the GLVC East, just a game behind UIndy and NKU.

Hogg has become a major offensive threat for the Eagles in the last nine games, averaging 12.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. The first-year starter is recording 10.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists overall this year.

For the season, senior guard #C.J. Trotter# (Hopkinsville, Kentucky) leads the Eagles with 14.5 points per game, 14.0 in GLVC action. Trotter is followed in the scoring column by senior center Mohamed Ntumba (Kinshasa, Congo), who is posting 13.2 points per contest.

As a team, USI is the nation's best in rebound margin, +13.0 per game (40.7-27.7). Ntumba is grabbing a team-best 8.2 rebounds per outing.

The Greyhounds of UIndy (13-2, 6-1 GLVC) are looking to rebound after having their 10-game winning streak snapped by Bellarmine, 99-97, on a three-pointer in the final seconds. UIndy, which plays at KWC Thursday night, had fought to take a 97-96 lead with 15 seconds left after trailing 63-46 midway through the second half.

UIndy senior guard Darius Adams, who had 33 points in the loss to Bellarmine, is recording a GLVC-best 24.3 points and a team-best 5.7 rebounds per game.

USI has the advantage in the all-time series, 48-15, after winning both meetings with UIndy last year. The Eagles won on the road at Indianapolis, 78-67, and at home, 91-74.
