The Screaming Eagles (5-2-0, 3-2-0 GLVC) are coming off a 1-1-0 home stand, defeating Lewis University, 1-0, and being shut out by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 2-0. USI junior forward Nancy Newcomer (Parma Heights, Ohio) scored USI's only goal during last weekend's action and has been the Eagles' only goal scorer in the last three matches.

For the season, junior forward Meagan Kempf (Evansville, Indiana) leads the team with 12 points on a team-high four goals and four assists. Sophomore forward Susan Ellsperman (Newburgh, Indiana) is tied with Kempf for the team lead with four assists.

Between the posts, junior goalkeeper Stephanie Bodamer (Highland, Indiana) leads the Eagles' defense with a 0.75 goals against average and a 5-2-0 record. She also has four shutouts.

Quincy (4-1-2, 2-0-2 GLVC) recorded a win and a tie last weekend in the conference. The Hawks started the weekend with a 1-1 double-overtime tie at Maryville University, but finished strong with a 3-0 win at Missouri University of Science & Technology.

The Hawks lead the all-time series with USI, 9-5-1, and have won the last five meetings with the Eagles. Quincy defeated USI twice last season, winning 2-0 during the regular season at Strassweg Field and 1-0 in the first round of the GLVC Tournament at Quincy.

Illinois-Springfield (0-6-0, 0-5-0 GLVC) is still searching for its first win of the season. The Prairie Stars, who are 0-19-0 in the conference since program began last fall, lost a 4-3 decision Friday at the University of Missouri-St. Louis last Friday and suffered a 2-1 overtime loss Sunday at Maryville University.

USI won the first meeting between the two programs, 2-0, last year at Strassweg Field.
