OMAHA, Neb.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team struggled to find any type of rhythm Friday evening as it fell to Cameron University 25-19, 25-17, 25-21 at the University of Nebraska-Omaha Volleyball Classic.

USI (5-5) watched the Aggies post attacking clips of .472 and .533 in the first and second sets, respectively, as it fell behind 2-0 in the match. The Screaming Eagles battled back from seven-point deficit in the third set to cut Cameron's lead to 23-21, but the Aggies scored on the next two plays to finish the match in three frames and end any hopes of an Eagle comeback.

Like their match with No. 23 Nebraska-Omaha earlier in the day, the Eagles could not consistently break the opposition's serve. The Aggies used runs of 8-1 and 10-2 in the opening set to pull away for the 1-0 lead; then used runs of 11-3 and 11-4 in the second and third games, respectively, to pull out the victory.

Sophomore middle blocker Danielle LaGrange and junior outside hitter Brittani Oliver each had seven kills to pace the Eagles' offense. LaGrange finished with a .312 attacking percentage and a team-best three blocks, while freshman outside hitter Abbi Williams chipped in seven kills, a team-best .400 attacking percentage, and two blocks.

The Eagles conclude the UNO Volleyball Classic Saturday when it takes on Minnesota State University-Moorhead at 9:30 a.m. and Angelo State University at 2 p.m.
