LANSING, Mich.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team had a hard time stopping Michigan Tech University's attack as it fell to the Huskies 25-19, 25-15, 25-19 Saturday afternoon at the Asics GLIAC/GLVC Crossover. The Screaming Eagles concluded the 30-team crossover with a 1-2 mark.
Michigan Tech (11-11) recorded a .396 attacking percentage, including clips of .400 and .438 in the first and third sets, respectively, as it ran away with the victory.
USI (11-12), which hit .167 as a team, was led by senior outside hitter Courtney Bealor and senior middle blocker Ashley Henricks. Bealor had a team-best eight kills and 11 digs, while Henricks had seven kills and a .429 attacking percentage.
The Eagles return to action Tuesday when they visit Oakland City University. Match time is slated for 7 p.m. in Oakland City, Indiana.
