USI led by as many as 10 points twice in the first half, before settling for the 36-28 lead the intermission.

The Eagles pushed the margin to a 24-point advantage, 60-36, with 13:23 to play. The Greyhounds cut into the lead in the three minutes before the buzzer sounded on the 87-74 final.

The USI bench was key for the second victory in a row, outscoring UIndy 35-16. Eagles' junior guard Jamar Smith (Peoria, Illinois) came off the bench to score a team-high 17 points to lead USI. Smith was five-of-11 from the field, three-of-five from beyond the arc, and was four-of-five at the charity stripe.

Smith was followed by junior guard Marvin Gray (Freeport, Bahamas), who had 13 points, and junior forward/center Jeron Lewis (Ft. Wayne, Indiana), who dropped in 12 points.
