BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana men's track and field team recorded four top-10 finishes this weekend at the Indiana Relays.
Sophomore
David Goodman (Valparaiso, Indiana) led the Screaming Eagles with a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter invitational. Goodman finished the race in eight minutes, 34.41 seconds, less than three ticks ahead of senior All-American
Bryan Phillips (Kokomo, Indiana). Phillips was fifth in the event with a time of eight minutes, 36.98 seconds.
Senior sprinters
Tom Cunningham (Bridgeport, Illinois) and
Austin Inge (Ossian, Indiana) also had top-10 finishes. Cunningham qualified for the semifinals in the 60 meters, where he finished ninth with a time of 6.97 seconds—just .02 seconds shy of the finals—while Inge was ninth in the 200 meters with a time of 23.55 seconds.
USI returns to action February 7 when it competes at the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana.
