EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision to Missouri University of Science & Technology Friday evening in Rolla, Missouri. The Screaming Eagles fall to 2-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 GLVC, while the Miners go to 2-3-0, 1-0-0 GLVC.
Missouri S&T scored the only goal it would need 30 minutes into the first half. Junior midfield Nick Landon scored the game-winner at the 30:14 mark from 20 yards out.
The Miners controlled the flow of the match, outshooting the Eagles, 25-11, and had an advantage of 6-4 in corner kicks.
The Eagles conclude their first road trip of the year in Springfield, Missouri, when they play Drury University at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Drury remained unbeaten at 3-0-0 overall and 1-0-0 GLVC after defeating the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 2-1, Friday evening.
