TUNICA, Miss.—The University of Southern Indiana softball team's games against Henderson State University and Delta State University Sunday were cancelled due to poor field conditions stemming from overnight thunderstorms.
USI finishes its opening weekend with a 1-3 record. The Screaming Eagles hit seven home runs, including three each by junior rightfielder
Lacey Ligmanowski (Homer Glen, Illinois) and sophomore designated player
Sara Loete (Pekin, Illinois).
The Eagles return to action February 22-24 when the take part in the Charger Chillout in Decatur, Alabama. USI is slated to play four nationally-ranked teams in the three-day event.
