LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The No. 25 University of Southern Indiana women's cross country team finished 17th out of 25 teams in the Gold competition of the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday morning.
Sophomore
Mary Ballinger (Chesterton, Indiana) paced the Screaming Eagles with a 32nd place finish and a 5k time of 18 minutes, 20.49 seconds. Junior
Marcia Weflen (Rossville, Indiana) was 73rd with a 5k time of 19 minutes, 4.30 seconds as the Eagles finished with 429 points.
The Eagles also got a 97th-place finish out of sophomore
Sarah Whiteman (Bloomington, Indiana), who finished the race with a 5k time of 19 minutes, 22.14 seconds.
USI returns to action Friday when it competes at the Millikin Challenge in Decatur, Illinois.
