Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) racked up 22 kills, a .600 attacking percentage, and five blocks as the University of Southern Indiana volleyball team defeated Tiffin University 30-21, 28-30, 30-25, 30-21 Tuesday night in a Great Lakes Region contest.
USI (6-4), which attacked at clips of .326 and .425 in the first and third games, respectively, also got 13 kills from junior middle blocker
Meg Buschman (Reynolds, Indiana). Sophomore outside hitter
Courtney Bealor (LaPorte, Indiana) chipped in 11 kills and 11 digs, while freshman outside hitter
Brittani Oliver (Indianapolis, Indiana) finished with 10 kills.
Senior setter
Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana) had 57 assists as the Screaming Eagles hit .275 for the match.
Defensively, the Eagles got 17 digs from sophomore right side hitter/setter
Melanie Pund (Ferdinand), Indiana) and 15 digs out of junior libero
Amber Gogel (Ferdinand, Indiana). Sophomore defensive specialist
Julia Ridley (Madisonville, Kentucky) added 12 digs as the Eagles held the Dragons (3-12) to a .155 attacking percentage.
The Eagles return to action Friday when they visit the University of Missouri-Rolla in a GLVC match. USI also visits the University of Missouri-St. Louis Saturday at 3 p.m.
