ROMEOVILLE, Ill.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team fell to Winona State University 31-29, 30-21, 20-30, 30-26 Saturday at the Lewis University Flyer Festival. USI finishes the weekend with a 2-1 record with the loss and falls to 4-3 overall.
Senior middle blocker 
Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) led USI with 13 kills, a .481 attacking percentage, and eight blocks while sophomore right side hitter/setter 
Kathi Hindman (Carmel, Indiana) finished with 13 kills and four blocks.
The Screaming Eagles also got 11 kills each from sophomore outside hitter 
Courtney Bealor (LaPorte, Indiana) and junior middle blocker 
Meg Buschman (Reynolds, Indiana), while sophomore right side hitter 
Melanie Pund (Ferdinand, Indiana) finished with 47 assists, seven blocks, and 12 digs.
Junior libero 
Amber Gogel (Ferdinand, Indiana) added a team-high 21 digs in the setback.
USI opens its home and GLVC schedule Friday at 7 p.m. when it hosts Quincy University at the Physical Activities Center. The Eagles host No. 15 Southern Illinois University Edwardsville next Saturday at 3 p.m.
