Mastroianni provided all of the offense the Eagles would need the fourth inning when he circled the bases on an inside-the-park home run to make the score 1-0. The home run, which was driven over the head of the Greyhound rightfielder Kyle Stephenson, was Mastroianni's second of the year.
In the bottom of the seventh, junior first basemanÂ
Matt Pleiss (Newburgh, Indiana) gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead with a bases loaded single, scoring freshman catcherÂ
Josh Jarboe (Connersville, Indiana). Mastroianni sealed the victory with a two-RBI single to centerfield to give USI a 4-0 lead, scoring junior shortstopÂ

Mastroianni finished the day three-for-four with three RBIs, a home run, and a run scored. USI senior rightfielderÂ
Hunter Slade (Newburgh, Indiana) also had a pair of hits in his final regular season game at the USI Baseball Field.
On the mound, Julian (5-2) blanked the Greyhounds for nine innings on six hits and three walks. He also struck out six Indianapolis hitters.
Julian allowed only two runners past second base and helped himself by starting a 1-5 double play to get out of a second and third one-out jam in the seventh.

Adam Vetter (Crown Point, Indiana),Â
Aaron Clark (Madisonville, Kentucky), andÂ
