EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana softball doubleheader with Brescia University has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts on Brescia's behalf.

USI (22-20, 6-8 GLVC) returns to action Saturday when it travels west to take on the University of Missouri-Rolla in a GLVC doubleheader. The Screaming Eagles also travel to Kansas City, Missouri, to take on Rockhurst University in a conference twinbill on Sunday. First pitch on both days is slated for noon.

The Eagles, who are tied with Northern Kentucky University for the eighth and final spot in the GLVC Tournament, need to have a strong finish in their final two weeks in order to avoid missing out on the conference's post-season tournament for the first time since 1992.

In addition to road doubleheaders at UM-Rolla and Rockhurst the Eagles travel to Kentucky Wesleyan College (April 25) for a GLVC doubleheader before closing out the regular season with conference doubleheaders against Saint Joseph's College (April 28) and the University of Indianapolis (April 29).
