On the mound, USI senior right-hander Aaron Clark (Madisonville, Indiana) picked up the victory in relief. Clark (2-1) allowed two hits and two runs in 2.1 innings of work.

In the nightcap, Wendholt, freshman right-hander Casey Geiger (Albion, Indiana), and junior right-hander Aaron Schmitt (Evansville, Indiana) combined for an 8-0 shutout. Geiger allowed two hits and struck out four, while Schmitt allowed a hit and struck out one.

At the plate, USI junior catcher Garrett Oros (Aurora, Illinois) led the way with a pair of hits. He had a double, a run scored, and a RBI in the win. Sophomore designated hitter Chad Werry (New Harmony, Indiana) slammed USI's first GLVC home run of the year in the third inning.
