OAKLAND CITY, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana softball team's doubleheader with Oakland City University was cancelled Wednesday due to heavy rain. No make-up date has been scheduled.

USI's trip to Romeoville, Illinois, and the Great Lakes Regional Showdown this weekend also was cancelled due to poor field conditions and the threat of bad weather. A decision on whether or not the Screaming Eagles will add any games this weekend or next week is to be determined.

The Eagles (11-9) open GLVC play with their home-opener March 24 against the University of Missouri-St. Louis at the USI Softball Field. All of USI's conference home games will be carried on the air at WSWI AM 820 and via the internet at www.820theedge.com. Also, USI will have live stats via the internet for all its home games at www.usi.edu/sports/sblive/xlive.htm.
