EVANSVILLE, Ind. —The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team snapped a 10-match winless streak with a 1-0 victory over the University of Missouri-Rolla Sunday afternoon at Strassweg Field. USI raised its record to 5-12-1 overall and 3-10-0 in the GLVC, while UMR fell to 7-10-1, 4-9-0 GLVC.
USI scored the only goal it would need in the first have when freshman forward
Dan Dormeier (Newburgh, Indiana) scored his third goal of the year at 41:42. Dormeier put away the rebound of a shot by senior midfielder
Carl Carr (England), who was credited with his third assist of the year.
USI sophomore goalkeeper
Brad Cadden (Carmel, Indiana) recorded his first win and shutout of the season in his first start of the year between the posts. Cadden faced 12 Miner shots and was forced to make three saves.
The USI-UMR match was Senior Day for the Eagles. USI honored the seven seniors – goalkeeper
Andrew Hults (Valley Park, Missouri) midfielders
Evan Stoll (Washington, Indiana), and
Quintin Myers (Washington, Indiana), and Carr and defenders

The Eagles finish the 2007 campaign Wednesday when they host Harris-Stowe State University at Strassweg Field. Match time is 3 p.m.
