WILDER, Ky. — The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team had its three-match winning streak stopped by Northern Kentucky University, 2-0, Friday evening in Wilder, Kentucky. USI falls to 6-8-1 overall and 4-5-1 in the GLVC, while NKU goes to 10-4-0 overall, 6-4-0 GLVC.
The Norse scored the game winning goal in the first half when senior defender Cara Alldred scored at the 27:44 mark and took the 1-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. NKU increased the margin to the final score of 2-0 at 64:39 of the second half.
The Eagles out shot the Norse in the match, 13-12, but were out shot much of the second half. NKU also had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
USI concludes the final road trip of the regular season when they play Bellarmine University Sunday at 11 a.m. (CDT). The Knights rose to 8-7-1 overall and 3-6-1 in the GLVC with a 5-0 shut out Kentucky Wesleyan College Friday afternoon.
