RENSSELAER, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team dominated Saint Joseph's College in every way, except the score, in losing a 2-1 decision Saturday morning in Rensselear, Indiana. USI falls to 3-6-0 and 1-4-0 in the GLVC, while SJC goes to 1-9-0, 1-6-0 GLVC.

The match took nearly 16-and-a-half hours to complete after being suspended Friday night due to inclement weather in northern Indiana.

SJC scored first at 32:21 and led at halftime, 1-0. USI responded 13 minutes after halftime when junior defender Katie Barisano (Newburgh, Indiana) scored her first goal of the year at 58:28. The goal was unassisted.

The Pumas scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick by junior midfielder Trisha Mazzotta at 66:08 after an Eagle fouled was called in the box.

USI dominated the stats, leading in shots, 19-9 (13-3 in shots on-goal), and corner kicks, 7-3.

The Eagles conclude the road trip Sunday at the University of Indianapolis for a 1:30 p.m. (CDT) match. They return to the friendly surroundings of the Strassweg Field to host Kentucky Wesleyan College Tuesday for a 6 p.m. match and the start of a three-match homestand.
