RENSSELAER, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team defeated Saint Joseph's College, 3-1, Saturday afternoon.
USI (8-4, 2-2 GLVC) opened the match with a 30-22 victory in game one before dropping game two, 30-28. The Screaming Eagles bounced to win game three, 30-18, and game four, 30-24.
Junior middle blocker
Molly Rahman (Ferdinand, Indiana) led USI with a match-high 16 kills to go with a .353 attacking percentage.
Senior outside hitters
Chelse Doubler (Griffin, Indiana) and
Emily Ryan (Batesville, Indiana) added 13 and 11 kills, respectively, while junior libero
Cara Keever (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) led the Eagles with 15 digs.
Doubler added three blocks and a .478 attacking percentage, while junior setter
Stephanie Wilson (Terre Haute, Indiana) had a match-high 36 assists.
The Eagles return to action Tuesday when they play at No. 20 Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (12-2, 5-0 GLVC). Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
